Breakfast was ok but always the same even for longer stays.
Breakfast was ok but always the same even for longer stays.
The WiFi barely worked during the whole stay and was off very frequently. Bed of one of the roommates was never made even though we kindly asked a couple of times for them to make it also.

Nice owners
The owners are great and help with everything. They do offer to drive you to the main road as the location isn’t good. From the main road you can take a tricycle to wherever. The shower was good, hot water and good stream, bed was comfortable and breakfast was good
They didn’t provide check in instructions and so only when landed we found out that taxis and trycicles don’t go to the place, only the main road near it. They offer a pick up from there but they don’t tell you in advance and you have to call them so if you don’t have a local sim, you have to walk with all your luggage. They do offer to take you to the main road whenever needed but they don’t pick you up and so you need to walk back each time, it’s dark and goes on the beach and a narrow road with no sidewalk and takes about 15 minutes. It’s then another 15 minute tricycle ride to the main town, so unfortunately they lose points for location mainly and for not offering a good solution for it. WiFi doesn’t work at all.

The breakfast was limited but still nice and prepared...
The breakfast was limited but still nice and prepared freshly each morning. Eggs, bread/toast, coffee juice were the options. The owner and staff went out of their way to help us get around El Nido, book our respective tours and even store our luggage overnight even after we checked out. The only issue was that a few of our items were stolen but they were left outside the room to dry so that is not a reflection of the security of the property but more so the nature of people seeing things out at night that they consider "available to them".
The roosters and motor bikes in the morning were loud. This is the case though in the area as there are a lot of farm animals and bikes.

Cheap and cheerful
Owner is very friendly. Bed was comfortable. Decent sized room. Shower did the job. Breakfast was okay.
The hotel is located about 10min walk from the main part of town, but the road isn't accessible by rental bikes. You can only use service bikes or your own rented bikes. When we first arrived, we were a little shocked as it was night and didn't know about it (Dragonfly's service bike was broken) but the other days, it was just a 10min walk into town. Not a massive inconvenience, but not exactly ideal either. The walls are paper thin too. May want to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
